Imagine driving along one day seeing a billboard that says, “Hello there, how are you doing?” You see these ads everywhere in your city, and you think, “That’s interesting – a very unique marketing campaign.” Then a couple weeks later on Saturday afternoon you look up in the sky and there is a large hot air balloon with a similar message.
Then the following Saturday the balloon is there again, with a continuation of the story: “I’ve got something I want to say to you.” And then the following week, “You are a being of unfathomable goodness.” And from there the message develops week after week…
All of a sudden we’re getting a message of love out there, and vast numbers of people are seeing it, because these balloons and billboards are in every major city around the world. Nothing quite like this has happened before, and it’s the talk of the global community. In fact it’s the biggest and most fascinating cultural thing happening in the world at all.
Anyone who says it’s not possible to save the world is not looking closely enough.
Of course, most people will be cynical and brush it off as just another marketing scheme, but the message is creative, humorous, and completely filled with good intention, so on some level it blows everyone’s mind, and it causes people all around the world to sit up and watch very closely.
At the end of a three or four month period, when everyone is talking about this outrageous new phenomenon, waiting passionately to see where it’s all leading, suddenly one week the cat is let out of the bag. People are finally introduced to the organization behind the campaign. People learn that the organization exists solely to help serve the world, and that if they are inspired they can call in to find out how they can do something to help.
Making the Vision Reality
We set up gigantic call centers filled with highly skilled coaches who help people find their way.
The coaches have access to a large resource base that encompasses a vast network of organizations including; spiritual traditions, volunteer organizations, political change organizations, environmental organizations, self help programs, counseling centers, uplifting programs of any and all kinds, books, websites, trainings, and helpful information of all varieties.
Create an inclusive referencing network, and the coaches would skillfully help people find their way forward to take the steps that are right for them. All of a sudden people are empowered and no longer feel “helpless to do anything about it.” All of a sudden we all have a way we can contribute to a global group effort at creating world peace.
Yes this would be a hugely expensive and complex project. But with the will, there would be enough money to create ten thousand such projects. And yes you could say this is a “crazy” idea. But consider our widespread societal paralysis in the face of accelerating environmental degradation, and global plague, famine, and war? Could this not be said to be “crazy” as well?
A campaign like this could reach a majority of the earth’s urban populations. All would see the message, most would wonder and have a thought they have never had before, many would experience some kind of shift in their world view, and some would take action.
We just catalyzed the first deliberate ripple in the tide of human consciousness. And we’re just getting started.
