Assuming we raise the will and the funds to proceed with the work of changing global consciousness, what would happen?* Well, we don’t know exactly how it would go, but just for example’s sake, here is a possible trajectory of how things might unfold:
1. We launch a global campaign to raise world wide awareness of basic human goodness, and the fact that it is possible for humanity to achieve peace on earth.
2. We set up global call centers staffed with highly skilled coaches. As people are inspired by the campaigns such as Billboards and Balloons for Humanity, people by the millions would start to call in, asking what they can do to get involved.
The coaches have access to a colossal resource base that encompasses a vast network of organizations including; spiritual traditions, volunteer organizations, political change organizations, environmental organizations, self help programs, counselling centers, uplifting programs of any and all kinds, books, websites, trainings, and helpful information and world changing organizations of all varieties.
We would create an inclusive referencing network, and the coaches would skillfully help people find their way forward to take the steps that are right for them.
3. Massive numbers of people would then begin to work to better themselves and the world around them. This activity increases steadily, as more and more people see what others are doing. Individuals who are holding back out of fear and skepticism and negativity gradually see the possibilities unfolding around them and they eventually become inspired to do something to change as well.
Some people would simply work at self improvement, learning to see beyond their personal obstacles, others would get involved locally to help their community, still others would be inspired to work at a global level.
4. There would be a website where world changers could self organize. All kinds of new activity would be happening, with new groups and organizations forming all the time. The website would be an open source community platform similar to facebook, which would allow all varieties of world changing activity to arise, develop and manifest fully.
4. Political structures would be pushed to change, as massive numbers of citizens, as well as people already working within the political systems, galvanize into groups calling for positive change. This would eventually cause more enlightened political structures to emerge.
4. Similarly, people would call for corporations to change their ways, to redesign their organizations according to more enlightened principles.
5. New entities would spontaneously emerge to help the homeless in ways previously not able to happen because of lack of political will.
6. Justice and prison systems would be redesigned to be more effective in prosecuting and rehabilitating criminals. Corruption, abuse, and neglect would fall away as people speak up and take action to uplift these systems. And these systems would gradually shrink in size as criminal activity would steadily decline.
Also, alternative forms of responding to crime would develop, based on models like conflict mediation. These forms would supplement the criminal justice system, providing a more holistic and intelligent system overall.
7. The world’s developing nations and their citizens would receive waves of aid in the form of funds and organizations dedicated to helping them uplift their situation. Corrupt governments of those regions would either wake up to more enlightened strategies, or the economic and human factors of goodness coming at them from all directions would force them to step down.
8. Governments would finally begin supporting the development of alternative power sources such as wind and solar. Petroleum would gradually fall out of fashion as the electric car industry grows exponentially in response to new demand.
9. There would be powerful individuals and organizations who were resistant to the positive changes. At first they would appear to be causing great obstacles to the wave of global enlightenment, but they would eventually give in or collapse, as they started to understand what is happening all around them, seeing that there is no turning back to ways of greed and aggression.
10. And so on…
